Jim Pitchford and Jennifer Scott Brand received certificates of appreciation for their Outstanding Leadership in starting Village Hubs in Willow Glen.  During a disaster a Village Hub is a designated neighborhood gathering place. Trained volunteers share critical announcements and coordinate support among neighbors when systems like cell phones are down. Neighborhoods everywhere should have hubs where you can learn what is happening, post messages, connect with resources, and be directed to where you can help if you want to volunteer when a disruption occurs.
