Dear Traffic Appeals Commission:
The Willow Glen Neighborhood Association (WGNA) has voted unanimously to support the request of residents for an additional stop sign at the intersection of Willow Street and Camino Ramon. We believe that there are solid reasons why neighbors have petitioned for all-way stop signs at this location. At our November board meeting, approximately 30 people attended to express their frustration. WGNA heard concerns about the lack of safety provided for those crossing to and from Bramhall Park. We believe that, with the addition of bike lanes on Willow Street, the mix of runners, baby strollers, walkers, and vehicles merits a close examination of this intersection's safety.
The Willow Glen Neighborhood Association Board asks that this matter be placed on the Traffic Appeals Commission Agenda as soon as possible. Having lost the life of one resident already, we feel that this is an issue which needs to be addressed promptly.
Sincerely,
Kris Cunningham, WGNA President
