Letter to the Editor (Willow Glen Resident)
Sept. 3, 1999
The Willow Glen Neighborhood Association (WGNA) is shocked by the despicable actions of several local youths who firebombed Judge Jack Komar’s home. The Association expresses its condolences and support to the Komar family.
It is difficult to believe that terrorist actions of these kind placed the lives of a Willow Glen family at risk. There is no place in Willow Glen for actions that violate the sanctity of a person’s home. There is no place in Willow Glen for anti-Semitism or racism. In Willow Glen a victim of a hate crime will not suffer through the circumstance alone.
The Willow Glen Neighborhood Association strongly expresses its outrage about these actions and we encourage anyone with information about a potential hate crime to report it to the authorities immediately.
Keeping Willow Glen families safe requires everyone’s participation.
